How it works

1. Answer a few questions

You set your dates or say you are flexible, your trip length (from a long weekend up to a month), who is travelling, how far you will travel, your total budget per person for the whole trip, the standard of accommodation you want, and preferences for temperature, rain, how active and how lively you want it, plus the scenery and the kind of trip.

2. Everything is scored out of 10

Each destination, touring trip and itinerary is weighed against your answers across season fit, budget, scenery, weather, pace and distance. A place is not treated as one fixed personality: where the evidence supports it, the engine selects a credible combination of area, hotel, activities, evening atmosphere and timing that best fits the traveller, while still showing what is typical and when the chosen version is niche. Ordinal choices are one-sided in the direction you select: Warm includes Hot, Quiet includes Serene, Active includes Very active, and Off-beat includes Hidden gem. Your accommodation and board choices are minimums, your budget is a ceiling, and drier or cheaper is never penalised. The adjustment engine only asks you to widen into the less-preferred direction when the current brief cannot produce strong matches. Scenery and general experience choices are acceptable alternatives, while specialist choices such as skiing, safari, diving, northern lights, wellness and road trips remain essential.

3. Read the matches

You get up to seven strong matches, with single destinations, touring trips and multi-stop itineraries ranked together in whatever mix genuinely suits your trip length. Each one shows a realistic planning range per person for the whole trip, estimated return travel included, plus journey time, why it fits, a score breakdown and any trade-offs. Short trips lean toward single bases, longer trips naturally pull in more multi-stop options.
